October 25th, 2024

  • Removed the management menu's legacy 'off-week filing' button. The timesheet forward/back week navigation buttons provide this functionality.
  • Bug fix: a few minor screen layout adjustments were added to accommodate 125% and 150% display scaling on Windows and Mac.
  • Bug fix: table layouts no longer break on accidental browser zoom-out.
  • Bug fix: the 'saved' popup is now dismissed on clicking direct on the overlay checkmark.

March 19th, 2024

  • Senomix users can now authenticate through Intuit's 'Sign in with Intuit' Single Sign-On process.
  • You can now start your Senomix system with a click of the QuickBooks Online 'Launch' link in your app listing.
  • Senomix is now 'Accountant Ready' for authenticated multi-account QuickBooks management.

March 5th, 2024

  • Hosted plan integration with MYOB AccountRight / MYOB Business is now available through your new MYOB Link page.

October 10th, 2023

  • Senomix is now available for direct installation through the
    Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD / Entra ID)
    Enterprise Application gallery.

August 28th, 2023

  • You can now connect to Senomix through your corporate
    Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication dashboard.

    Securely sign in without entering an email and password using OneLogin, PingIdentity, Auth0 / Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure Active Directory
    (Sharepoint Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID) and other SAML 2.0 authentication platforms.

June 19th, 2023

  • Managers can now receive an email notification when assigned staff submit timesheets for approval. You can toggle that option in your Settings screen.
  • An automatic password reset is now available. Just click 'Forgot Password?' to securely reset your system sign-in.
  • Date selectors will now open at the last date chosen in your selection field.

May 9th, 2023

  • Notification emails can now be automatically sent to employees when timesheets are approved or disapproved.

    To enable this option, visit your admin app's settings screen and toggle the
    Send Timesheet (Dis)Approval Email checkbox 'On'.

April 4th, 2023

  • Your Desktop Admin and Time Entry apps can now be used on your iPad
    and Android Tablets in landscape mode.

    Just sign in as you would for your desktop, and you can create charts and reports, or administer your system, from anywhere you choose to connect.

    The only limit is your device screen size: most phones are still too small to fit your admin app, but your tablet devices are ready for use.

    For phones: please continue to connect using your Senomix Mobile app.

  • Xero's integrated App Launcher can now be used to sign in to your Senomix account.

January 25th, 2023

  • Senomix hosted plan accounts can now be secured with two-factor authentication.

    Click 'Set Two-Factor Auth' on your Settings screen to receive a secure QR scan code for your preferred authenticator app.

    You can clear your 2FA settings from the same screen.
  • Your computer or mobile device can be set as 'trusted' for 7 days when performing authentication on system sign-in. A 'trusted' device will not be prompted for two-factor authentication for that 7-day period.
  • Deleted your authenticator app?

    Your office admin can clear two-factor authentication from your account with a button click on your Senomix system's user admin screen.

  • We made a few server upgrades over the holidays to improve system performance and security. You should find your Senomix apps now respond a bit faster.

December 5th, 2022

  • Hosted plan integration with Xero is now available through your new Xero Link page.
  • Senomix sessions can now be authenticated for access using your office's Xero accounting application.
  • QuickBooks data import has been adjusted to set default first/last names for imported users if that information has not been entered in QuickBooks Employee records.
  • Added a tutorial to guide use of the new Xero import/export functionality.
  • Various server and client application adjustments for improved system performance.

  • Adjusted password quality rules to help encourage strong user access.

June 28th, 2022

  • To improve system security in the Administration application, an app inactivity timeout has been added.

    Admin users that have not interacted with their admin app for 30 minutes will be disconnected (and can immediately reconnect on their return).

    The time entry application does not have an inactivity timeout. You can keep your timesheet and stopwatch idle in your computer's background through the day as suits your work preference.

  • A 'Disable Fast Report Save' option has been added to the Settings screen of your Admin and Reports apps.

    Some users prefer the workflow provided by legacy web file downloads. If that's your preference, just toggle that option on, and your reports will be routed through a (much slower) secure web download.

June 6th, 2022

  • Your admin reports now save considerably faster. Direct file download for Excel and saved 'web page' reports is now performed via the modern file access API available in secure web browser sessions and installed apps.
  • Timestamp text is now appended to the default filename of saved reports.
  • A 'Please Wait...' banner message will now display for any web browsers unable to perform a direct file-access data write. Guidance for resolving the blocking issue is given in that banner message.

  • Your Senomix apps are now available for direct installation from the Microsoft App Store.

  • Internet Explorer's reign of terror is at an end!

    Many old conditional checks for handling out-of-date web browsers have been removed. A number of app features have improved performance as a result.
  • Slice selection animations for pie charts have been smoothed.
  • The crispness of chart colour depth shading has been sharpened.
  • Font size in information messages and selector dialogs has been adjusted a bit smaller.
  • For mobile device apps, swipe actions for navigating through timesheet days of the week are much smoother.
  • Bug fix: changing a colour theme after creating a report could result in the application background colour remaining 'stuck' on the old theme for that sign-in session. That bug has been fixed: a changed theme will show its expected colours if switched after creating reports.

  • Desktop and Mobile Senomix web apps are now available as installable Windows, Mac, Android and iOS programs.

  • Desktop and Mobile apps now have selectable colour themes.
  • A theme toggle between 'light' and 'night' modes has been added to the desktop sign-in screen.
  • Animations have been added (along with a 'disable animations' preference) to provide dynamic screen transitions and help highlight data entry errors.
  • A scannable QR code has been added to the sign-in screen to provide a quick link to phone and tablet mobile apps.
  • The 'disconnect' button on the QuickBooks Link screen was reduced in size (it was a bit too easy to accidentally click).
  • Bug Fix: when using Google Chrome, and other Chromium-based browsers (such as Microsoft Edge), on some models of computer in some situations, the Senomix stopwatch could record inaccurate time. That has now been fixed.
  • Bug Fix: if a timesheet or expense claim was restored from a web browser or computer crash, edit of the record would be blocked if the user had their preference set to always display tutorials on signing in.
  • Bug Fix: if a user mistakenly zoomed their web browser out (most often with a slip of the mouse wheel while holding the keyboard ctrl key), table layouts would break. The result of a zoom-out still isn't pretty, but table lines will now break in consistent locations if that occurs.

    Note: you can correct mistaken browser zoom with your mouse wheel and keyboard ctrl key, or by clicking the magnifying glass icon in your browser's address bar and selecting '100%'.

  • Hosted plan integration with QuickBooks Online is now available through the new QuickBooks Link page.
  • Added in-app tutorials for the new QuickBooks Link; tweaked and streamlined existing in-app tutorials.
  • Added an alphabetic sort button to the timesheet options menu.
  • Optimization: streamlined save-as logic for reports opened direct in Microsoft Excel.
  • Bug Fix: the 'save' option for charts generated from hosted plans and SSL-secured self-installed systems will now route chart downloads via https.
  • Various networking and client application adjustments for improved system security and performance.

September 20th, 2021

  • Text entered in the Project/Activity/Task selector search field will now automatically narrow your displayed list of items to show any that contain your entered text.
  • A Show/Hide Code toggle in the Project/Activity/Task selector will show or hide the project code identifier for a list of items.

    Your list will be sorted alphabetically on either column as appropriate.
  • The old show/hide project and activity/task billing code toggle buttons have been removed from your Settings screen. That functionality is now handled by your billing code selector show/hide code button.
  • The task selector search in your mobile apps now automatically filters your displayed list of items on your entered search string text.
  • For your mobile apps, the show/hide code option for the task selector is set in your app Settings screen.
  • Tweaked the in-app tutorial for entering a timesheet to not assume the presence of the trial sample data Administration -> Vacation item.

  • Added ability to set reply email name and address for weekly reminder emails sent for missed timesheets.

  • Removed all use of the old 'username' attribute from system screens.
    That value was a hold-over from desktop system versions extending back to 2003 and is no longer in use.
  • Bug Fix: table window sizing for some administration screens would calculate a few pixels short for some web browser versions.
  • Various client application improvements for system performance.

April 11th, 2021

  • Bug Fix: the Google Chrome web browser would ignore page settings and display an auto-complete suggestion for hours entry in the timesheet grid. That Chrome bug has now been corrected.

March 5th, 2021

  • Bug Fix for self-installed systems: accommodated self-installed systems which have not SSL secured their server to redirect mistaken user sign-ins on the secure HTTPS system page to an appropriate insecure HTTP sign-in page.

February 26th, 2021

  • Set hosted plan system sign-ins to only use email address. Use of the old 'username' attribute has now been discontinued.
  • Bug Fix: clicking the arrow graphic for some buttons and table columns (for example, to 'move timesheet row', 'toggle user table sort order', or 'select user for user group') did not register button clicks for some browser versions.
    Clicks on those button images will now register button clicks for all browser types.
  • Improved click responsiveness in the time entry mobile app.
  • Various client application improvements for system performance.

February 9th, 2021

  • Bug Fix: recent changes to the Firefox web browser removed focus events from the browser window on returning after alt-tabbing away (so, the screen would need to be clicked before a button could be clicked).
    That Firefox bug has now been accounted for and corrected.
  • Various improvements to sharpen system screens and images on high-DPI monitors.
  • Added a warning that system sign-ins for hosted Senomix plans will use email address only, with the old 'username' attribute discontinued in coming weeks.
    The old 'username' attribute is a hold-over from desktop systems (extending back to 2003) and is no longer in active use.
  • For self-installed systems: added a dedicated HTTP sign-in page to allow continued system sign-ins for offices that would prefer to not SSL-secure their Senomix system.
  • Various networking security and performance improvements.

  • For self-installed systems: added PCKS12 keystore compatibility for SSL securing of system servers.
